Norwegian-American dialects

On this page you will find a few examples of how Norwegian is spoken in South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The examples 1 - 4 were recorded between January and May 1987, while the examples 5 - 10 were recorded between September and December 1992. All the files presented here are in Real Audio format

IMPORTANT! Microsoft Explorer and Netscape handle RealAudio files differently, thus I have had some problems writing  the script for these pages. They were originally written for Netscape and for a while they only worked with that browser. Now I have modified the script in order to make these pages work with Internet Explorer as well, but I'm not sure if I have solved all the problems yet. Thus I have made another version of these pages only for Internet Explorer.
